I first tested it on the supplied bone tag with recommended settings that came with it and as you can see from pictures it worked perfectly. Next I tried it on a small 2mm thick piece of acrylic I had laying around. I set it for foil and then heavy cardstock with more pressure and inserted the engraving tool in the holder with it raised up a tiny bit. ( I placed the included bone tag edge between the top of the holder and the bottom lip of the engraving tool). This method seems to give a perfect etching to the acrylic. So glad I purchased this tool and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to engrave tags or acrylic pieces.
