I was disappointed in the quality of the material. They seem a bit flimsy to me I feel like they can't take to much weight but are fine for food or a lap top but resting your arms on them (like at a dinner table) will make them bend a little. The cup holder can't hold a big cup heavy with fluid, a small - medium are ok.
