I knew I wanted something to help my feet stay on the pedals, but for casual riding I didn't really want to get into one-sided, clipless pedals. These offer loads more grip than the Cannondale ones that came off - almost no chance of a wet foot slipping off under my normal usage. Clearly the downside is that the grip is pretty savage.
