Clamping the wire down takes several tries. Fitting the paper on the wire is not easy, again you will do the procedure several times because of the angle of the wire. Then you have to take the wire and the paper to be binded off the clamp and move it to be pressed together. This is the fatal flaw of this machine. Half the time the wire pops off and you have start over. Or the wire presser does not cramp the wire correctly. The punch mechanism of this machine works just fine. I have used much better machines than this one. Avoid the WireMac31 at all costs! Review: You get what you paid for - This machine is for Mickey Mouse shop only. It shouldn't be bought for real commercial use. I have a print shop and bought this machine as a backup to our AP2 GBC machine and was very disappointed. It's cheaply made and half of the knobs were broken after 3 month worth of use. The puncher is OK for manual job buy everything else is no good.
