I am going to purchase from that company because I do not want to support China which is killing Hong Kong protesters and putting Uighurs into concentration camps even as I write this. **Q: These glass weights do not have a finger hole in them. How do you get them out of the jar when the fermentation is complete?** A: No finger hole, smooth glass all around. I use tongs to lift out but you could probably use any utensil. **Q: I was wondering how clear are these? I was hoping to use them for making my own paperweights.** A: They are fairly clear, but do have a few flaws which, I think, would make them more interesting. **Q: Can you pour boiling water on them?** A: I haven't done so but they are solid and sturdy so I bet you can.
