Review: Wtf cares about the sticker? - bottom line, these things are low tech. But they work if you just read the instructions. I am not a cable installer, I am a property owner, and landlord. And that means that I actually give a s*** about how the line is run, and signal strength. It makes a huge difference in how often you have to reset your modem, as well as speed and picture. I first used one of these in a renovation on a large old house where the cable had been retrofitted and the cable guys had slung it all around the outside of the house. I didn't know what they did. All I knew was that the picture was s***e, and out Internet would go out 3 times a week, while communist-cast would have no idea why. They would send techs out who said everything was fine. When I did my remodel on the house, I bought a spool of bright wire, and drug the lines inside. I pulled their amp out of their box and set it inside with a dedicated plug next to the amp. The result? Problems went away. Internet was solid, HD was solid. You CANNOT put the output 2 power line more than 100ft away. Do yourself a favor and run a dedicated circuit for output 2 right next to the amp. Even if you don't, read the instructions and keep output 2 within 100 feet LINE DISTANCE from the amp. My wife bought the next house while I was deployed and had the same problems(we love old houses). I just installed this, restrung my bright wire and it all went away. It arrived as an amerex instead of extreme broadband, but the ports and specs were the same. I pinned it with a multimeter and there was no difference. As a fun fact, the local cable company had a passive amerex splitter in the box. Just follow you instructions, run an rg6 line and use compression fittings and you will see a difference. While you are at it, use a jobber bit and remodel boxes and run your cable in the wall, and not out of the floor. It's a lot classier and shows renters/ house buyers that you give a crap. And NEVER let your local cable company run your lines. They will never get it right. I would recommend this product and seller to my friends. Shipping takes a minute, but it's worth it
Review: Worked great !! - I have Spectrum phone- internet and cable boxes. All my tv boxes were in the “Please standby mode” and the internet and phone were working fine (Due to the passive connection within the amplifier. These signals bypass the amplifier. FYI the green lights were both on, on the bad amplifier. The power supply was working fine but the amp was bad) Installed the new amplifier and everything works great. Happy customer!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can someone please tell me what is included in the box?**
A: As I recall, the box includes the amplifier and a power adapter. Notably, it does NOT include a cord connecting the power adapter to the amplifier! You will either need to make a cable using some RG-6 and coax connectors or use an already existing cable cord.

**Q: what is the differance between etreme model ipa1008d-rsvp and bds+108h big price differance**
A: One is a basic splitter and the other one is an active powered amplifier. ipa1008d-rsvp does not loose any signal strength associated with splitting the signal. Best, SatelliteSale.net Support Team

**Q: Would this amplify an OTA signal or not?**
A: This would help with signal lost due to distribution: long cable runs, excessive splitting, etc. If your antenna is not catching a good signal, this won't help. You would need a better antenna.

**Q: Would this work with tv antennas?**
A: Yes, this will work with TV antennas. Best, SatelliteSale.net Support Team

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We get about 100 channels over the air!
*by J***G on January 26, 2025*

The first one of these lasted about 5 years, then stopped working. None the less, this item is great. In the city (philadelphia) , we had the house wired with coax to many rooms, but wanted to use a master antenna. Now, with one well placed internal antenna (no roof access was available) we can distribute the signal to many rooms within the house, with each set getting almost 100 channels off the air.
