It is fair IF you have the tools & know how to sharpen it. I ended up being able to put a half-adequate edge on it but it is certainly not what I would have hoped for with an old-school onion hoe which should be sharp & narrow for ease of knocking out weeds in tight spots. It will do but I was hoping to find a decent onion hoe so that I could also gift a few to family members. This is not it.
