They are NOT an instant cure but help in shortening the healing time and for easing the pain. Things to keep in mind ...1. Yes the instructions are in Japanese, but the only thing you really have to know, you can tell by the picture in the instructions, and that is that the LIGHT side is what sticks to the sore and the DARK side is out2. People complain that they are too small. Well they work best if applied as soon as a sore starts to form. If you waited until it got bigger then the patch, that's on you. If you chomped on the side of your mouth and it turned into a canker sore, this isn't going to work3. Yes, dry the area as best you can to aid in sticking. ANY wet surface is going to hard to get something to stick to, right?4. The outside of the patch will be plastic like ... which can be off putting but any band aid is annoying also and you need to treat it the same as a band aid. Learn not to poke at it with your tongue and just let it fall off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Make sure you apply when would is less moist *by C***C on August 3, 2020* These dots are awesome! Whenever I bite myself it's always in a place that is most exposed to food or my teeth to it always turns into a dang canker sore! Whenever I use these dots, I feel like my sore heals faster since it's not constantly exposed to food, drink, bacteria from my teeth, etc. Makes eating so much less painful too. You will definitely feel that it's there but better than constant pain! The key to application is dabbing the wounded area with a paper towel so it's a little dryer and not covered in saliva. Avoid tissue as it tends to stick to the sore, where as a thicker paper towel has stronger fibers that don't stick. It may hurt a little depending on how bad your sore is but if you do this, I find that the dot sticks better. Make sure to tab the dot down around all the edges so it seals. Lasts about 4-5 hours for me that includes eating and drinking coffee and water. it will gradually start to loosen on the edges. at that point I will let it release and fall out itself so I don't tug on it and risk ripping the sore. In between uses, I rinse my mouth with warm salt water.
