I used this product on a Ski Nautique boat fiberglass gel coat that had hard water mineral spots that were very visible on a black stripe and also a red stripe along the sides of the boat from the stern to the bow. I used a variable speed electric rotary buffer at lower speeds and applied the 3M Medium Cutting Compound and buffed it until the material was pretty much worked in. I was able to remove all of the hard water mineral spots so that the gel coat is now smooth any shiny. I buffed the boat in cooler temperatures in the low 60’s so that I had plenty of working time.
