Opening action is smooth and clockwork-precise, blade alignment is perfect when closed and free of even the slightest hint of wobble when open, and after clearing the detent the blade will close smoothly under the force of gravity given just a slight shake. Not necessarily a downside, but be aware that this is a fairly large knife.
