I picked this color because I didnt want the same ol brown that most people get and black cowgirl boots just doesnt make sense to me lol. I was extremely pleased with the color, it was true to the picture and description. The stitching was was perfect, its not over the top like most boots these days. I loved that the heel was a tad higher than regular boots, gave me a feminine feel. I'm used to 4 1/2 in pumps so a tiny booty tooch is good. The worn wood color of the base and heel was what really made me want this boot. And it compliments the wine color perfectly in my opinion. If youre like me and have a problem with boots not fitting over your calf then this boot is a good choice. It's not quite an ankle boot but a tad higher, no uncomfortable squeeze. I wear a size 7 to the T, but I normally buy boots or anything with a pointy toe in a 7 1/2. When I put them on without a sock there was a good amount of movement in the heel. But once I put on a nice comfy sock they were perfect. Not tight at all, just enough wiggle room so your feet dont hurt too bad at the end of the night. I have a pretty slender foot, so if youre a little more wide then I would stilll recommend a half size larger but dont use too thick of a sock, maybe use a trouser sock instead. Lastly, first time I wore these I took them out spanish dancing. I was on my feet for at least 4 hours. I can honestly say my feet didnt do too bad. And the sole of these boots are smooth on the dance floor. I was able to slide around no problem.
