What I like about this combination is that the light is easy to put on and take off for whatever the need is. The one drawback with that light is that it is not designed to put on and take off regularly and if the laser is zeroed we don't want to disturb that. The 7 sub might be TOO BRIGHT for certain indoor situations. You don't want to blind yourself in an encounter with light reflecting off the walls or going from deep darkness to very very bright. That's up to you. I find the TLR-6's 100 lumens adequate and the 7 sub more than bright enough. I'm glad it isn't any brighter. One other thing... I thought that having the 7-sub attached when carrying would be more uncomfortable with the extra bulk. It is not. I find it very comfortable and the holster is wide enough that a claw isn't needed, at least for the holster I have for it. The sad thing is that it is MUCH more expensive than it was a year or two ago as is the TLR-6. As a comparison, I bought a 6 about 2 years ago for $88. Today it's $113, a 22% increase in price. I suspect the Sub-7 underwent a similar price increase, at $131. The price is the only real negative that I can submit and IMO should be under $100. But caveat emptor.
