The criteria was: The razor must be easy to use and easy to find the right shaving angle. The cutting action must be efficient but mild The geometry of the head must aid in reducing the occurrence of ingrown hairs and razor burn. The handle must be comfortable but provide optimal grip even if used with the slickest of shaving soap, cream or oil. The razor must be build using CNC machining. The razor must offer unparalleled value-for-money in the double edge safety razor market. It’s built from billet and rod 6061 aluminum. It’s finished with a black anodized coating to protect the aluminum from oxidation over the long term. All three of the posts in the top cap are fully machined from one piece of billet aluminum, no tacked or spot welded posts. Please do NOT expect perfection with these razors. Although the quality is extremely high, the razor probably will not be absolutely 100% perfect. However, because this seemed like the milder razor, I chose this one, and ,boy, am I glad I did! This razor is curved such that the blade is forced into a steeper angle than others. But the shaving experience is not noticeably unpleasant. Put a sharp, smooth, flexible blade into it, and the razor will reward you with a very smooth shave. You won't have to wince as with an open comb razor. The Razorock is light but sturdy and easy to clean. When these babies become available again, snap one up right away as they go fast. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for beginners or sensitive skin *by K***8 on September 11, 2019* This shaver extends the guard out farther than most DE razors which narrows the effective shaving angle to only the optimal range. This makes it a more comfortable and safer shave, but this also means that the user has to be more precise in getting the correct angle. For beginners or those with sensitive skin this forces them to use the razor only in the comfort zone. For others this may limit their options and require more attention to getting the blade angle right. This is a personal decisions. The razor is well built as expected for this high price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ light pressure on sensitive areas. easy-to-use. *by L***H on August 11, 2019* when I first used this razor I had some nicks when I used my feather or Parker blades. but because of the bend of the blades I decided to try an Astra because it is very thin and bends better. wow. what a difference!
