It works very well for cooking s'mores or other small items. I also tried using the Grubcage to heat entire s'mores. You should heat the marshmallows first, but the cage works well for warming the chocolate slightly more after. The release tool worked well for opening the cage and is a nice touch that other brands have lacked. Fully telescoped out, the Grubstick can feel just a bit thin or weak but is still sturdy. I also used the Grubstick extensively for prodding the fire throughout the night which I'm sure is not a recommended use and subjected it to very extreme heat, but it held up well nonetheless without any issue. When just 1 showed up, I went back and took a closer look... well you DO NOT get 4 full sets for $29.99. This was a shame-on-me moment for not paying closer attention. For $19.99, ok... but an extra $10 for a fork attachment and a bag... eh, I would have passed on the "4 Piece Kit". Overall, the quality seems ok and mine didn't break on the first, 2nd or 3rd extension as a few others noted. Although, it has yet to meet fire, so stay posted for the trial run.
