Not exactly a Valdosta onion experience. Maybe 40 years ago the soil had something to do with it but that was long ago. The pack I got had wild rice in it. Try about a 1/4 teaspoon size packet of wild rice.Useless with no pecan taste whatsoever. It may be an old mill but the soil that grows the rice is way past any prime it ever had. Try Falcon Mills Cajun Country medium or long grain Louisiana rices instead. They are superb. This one is pure b.s. at gourmet rice prices.
