Review: If You Value your Time and Sanity, BUY THIS TOOL! It Pays for Itself! - If your Dyson needs a new clutch and/or belt (if you replace one, I strongly advise replacing both), buy this inexpensive, well-designed tool - I promise, you'll be very thankful you did! This tool pays for itself, period. Using this and the belt + clutch kit, I repaired our faithful DC33 in around 10 minutes for roughly $40. It runs like new, quite literally! Initially, I hesitated to buy this tool, thinking I could save a few dollars. After reading every review here, and watching some Dyson repair videos, I decided to follow most people's advice and ordered this tool set. They were undoubtedly correct! I can't imagine how frustrating it would have been to attempt this repair without this tool. Something about "monkeys" and "footballs" comes to mind... ASIDE: It took around 30 minutes to take the vacuum apart. This was, by FAR, the lengthier part of the clutch repair. Bear in mind, I'd never done this before; I could easily do it now in under 5 minutes! I was running back and forth between the garage (where I was working on the vacuum) and the computer (where I was watching an instructional video on YT on how to disassemble the vacuum.) I also didn't have readily at hand the necessary extension ( a long, narrow bit extender for my drill) for the one, deep screw that requires it. Otherwise, I was able to disassemble the entire vacuum with 3 common screwdrivers (a Phillips, a large Flathead, and a Torx, the number of which I can't recall.) There are plenty of very helpful videos on YT, and with proper preparation, anyone can do this cheap and simple repair. Good luck!

If you are replacing belts, a clutch assembly of just the beater brushes, this makes getting the belt off much easier. It's still not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but not as hard as doing this with screw drivers. Well worth the money!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommending, but not whole heartedly.

So I bought this tool You can see from the photo that the "hook" is bent. It was worse, but I straightened it out a bit. It will not last. I think it will work one more time and then break the "third" time I try. I have used it once. If you own one of these vacs you know that the brush will need occasional cleaning and less frequently it will need changing. (My belts have lasted many years). In both instances this tool will be very helpful. With a new belt, this tool is a must as they are very strong when you first get one. The tool works. However,as you are struggling to grab the belt and loop it onto the "arms" of the larger yellow box,the hook will bend. I am already looking around harbor freight for a substitute to replace my hook in the future. This tool was inexpensive and so far though seems like a good deal Mine was under nine buckerinos. Keep that price in mind. As far as using it, it can really only work one way. The belt is on one side of the bottom of the vac. The box part must face the other side. You can see how the slots accept the box and where it should go. It should feel pretty solid while in place. Then you grab the belt with the hook and loop it onto the "arms" of the box. You will have to do one side at a time. Once it is there you will be able to remove the brush for cleaning or for further disassemble like changing the clutch. If you have questions please ask and I will try to answer.
