It seemed that more makeup ended up in the sponge than on me. In addition, I then would have to spend a good amount of time rinsing out the sponge and then trying to squeeze all the water out. I was then concerned that it would harbor mold.With these silicone sponges I have none of those concerns. It is so nice to know that the makeup is not being wasted, not even on my fingers! And these are so SOFT. Before purchasing these I debated about getting one with a pointed edge since the ads said that would be good for contoured areas like under the eyes and around the nose. No worries about those areas with these - the edges of these are contoured and work perfectly!The case is an added bonus! They keep them nice and clean. It DOES work I believe with liquid make up just as it says and does indeed show a smooth, blended finish with less make up used. But, I had for only 10 days and the little "outer" type of cover started peeling off. Yes I was washing gentle between my fingers after use (the whole idea of washing it off easily daily and letting air dry to eliminate bacteria). I wouldn't think gentle washing would have caused and others have stated the same. Once it peels from the sponge, what's left is a supersticky sponge you can't use. I would LOVE for the little outer seal that is adhered to the silicone to permanently stay on it. Not expensive so I assumed this might happen with use over months....uhm, just not after 8-9 uses. Hey can you fix this Alpha? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No more using as much makeup *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2017* I have been wanting to try the silicone makeup sponge since it came out. I thought it was just a big hype. I am happy I finally just said ok I will try it. I didn't have to use as much makeup I actually put too much on the sponge. I was still able to have full coverage with using less when I used them the 2nd day. I also love that I was able to wipe it clean and use it for my concealer and foundation. It came in little boxes that will be nice to keep them in for traveling.
