Two cans will cover my entire 2,000 square foot back yard, and I notice a difference in mosquito's within 30 minutes of spraying. There is a musty garlic odor that is not very pleasant after you initially spray, but it will dissipate after a few hours. The key is to spray all low growing non flowering bushes, shrubs and tree branches around the perimeter of your yard. That's where mosquito's like to hide until when they feed in the evening. You can spray it on non porous materials, but it does leave a light brownish residue that will wash away over time.
