Review: Works great with apm 2.8 - I have read that some users have had an issue with this unit. I can say I have had no issues with the gps unit for now. I really like the stand. It is very strong and does not flex or wobble. No vibrations which is what you want for a quadcopter. The stand is much better than the one that comes with the other gps units. The common one that folds up and down. I had this gps stand in the past and did not like it. This one is much better quality. I can get 8-10 satellites in my room. Outside I have had no issues in any gps mode. I did forget to calibrate my gps compass by mistake and my drone crashed, but this was my fault. After fixing everything and calibrating my gps compass. I have had no issues in loiter mode.

**Q: I keep getting check magfield warning on mission planner with this setup.  Do I set this to roll 180 in compass cal, section in my??**
A: Hello friend!  You need to calibrate the compass before you use,and if you use with APM2.8 or Pixhawk(two compass way)then you need to put the compass direction same and make the flight control and GPS position fixed(Or the compass will show error in mission planner and cannot work)   Any problems you had face or questions you have please contact with us,many thanks!

**Q: Does this work with navio 2?**
A: It can only work with APM or Pixhawk.which use mavlink system.

**Q: Will this work with naza m v2?**
A: NO,it just can work with APM or Pixhawk flight controller, it can't work with naza .

**Q: what kind of compas is on this gps unit.**
A: Hi, I am not sure, I received mine but was used and not working...  I assumed this was new and working....
I will take apart, as the cable was not it good shape and connect a new cable and try it out sometime soon...

This GPS module includes a compass which is great. The mount is metal and protects it really well but is heavy so I won't be using it. I pulled it apart and here are the wire color codes. I haven't finished my build yet but here is what you need to know to get it working. Red: 3.3v (Labeled VCC) Black: Ground Yellow: RX (connect to TX1 or TX6 [match with green; whichever is not serial RX]) Green: TX (connect to RX or RX6 [whichever is not serial RX]) White: SDA (Connect to RX3) Orange: SCL (Connect to TX3) OMNIBUS F4, AIRBOT F4 and ASGARD variants with TX3/RX3 pads/Through Holes, configure them as I2C2 (SCL = TX3 and SDA = RX3). I am using an HGLRC F4 Flame In CLI: resource I2C_SCL 2 B10 resource I2C_SDA 2 B11 I am using Inav From CLI # get mag #these values are specific to your build and how you mount the gps compass, set to default/auto then test it and change until it is correct align_mag = CW270FLIP Allowed values: DEFAULT, CW0, CW90, CW180, CW270, CW0FLIP, CW90FLIP, CW180FLIP, CW270FLIP mag_hardware = HMC5883 Allowed values: NONE, AUTO, HMC5883, AK8975, GPSMAG, MAG3110, AK8963, IST8310, QMC5883, FAKE mag_declination = 0 Allowed range: -18000 - 18000 magzero_x = 43 Allowed range: -32768 - 32767 magzero_y = -47 Allowed range: -32768 - 32767 magzero_z = -129 Allowed range: -32768 - 32767 mag_calibration_time = 30 Allowed range: 30 - 120 imu_dcm_kp_mag = 10000 Allowed range: 0 - 65535 imu_dcm_ki_mag = 0 Allowed range: 0 - 65535 inav_auto_mag_decl = ON Allowed values: OFF, ON
