It connects easily and seems to have great range. I wanted something that would allow us to stream Tidal uncompressed music from our firepit, to our whole house audio system which has Bose speakers sets in the back. I placed this unit in the ceiling, near the back wall and ran a 20ft digital cable from this unit to my DAC. I had to extend the wire on the included AC adapter as well. It works great. One of the factors in its ability to transmit lots of data is the strength of our Wi-Fi connection. We found it would sometimes stop playing but it was not the unit but rather Wi-Fi connection that was causing Tidal to buffer. When we used our phone connected via cellular, no buffering happened. As well, in Tidal, you can set the bits per second to low, medium or high. We set ours to medium and the sound quality is great. Our whole house audio system is now a gigantic Bluetooth speaker thanks to this device.
