It went into place with no problems. There's a flat spot on the bottom for you to apply your 3M 5200 adhesive, which is how my old one was attached. I cleaned the bilge really well, applied the adhesive, and put something heavy on top of the switch case. When I returned the next day, I hooked up the wires (easy) and it started right up. Unlike my old one, it shut down when the bilge level was drawn down to about a half-inch. Perfect. As boat maintenance goes, this was really simple, and I don't have to worry about a continually-running bilge pump bricking my battery. We'll mark this down as a win. Review: High quality and works as advertised - I always use Rule pumps and switches on my boat because I think they are best made and are the most reliable. SeaRay installs them originally. They cost more than most, but maybe it's because of the quality. You can easily sink your boat if a pump or switch fails.
