    Loosens when locked - otherwise works

I got this to strap something tight so it won’t open. This doesn’t help because you can loosen it when it is locked.Other than that it is good for what I paid for it. I’m sure it would break open pretty easily if you tried.

    Good Inexpensive Ski Lock

I needed to replace a ski lock that I had used for several years.  The thin steel cable broke off right at the fitting/post that locks into the lock body.  This new lock was identical to my old lock and is working great.  The only criticism is that sometimes the post that you push in to lock the cable doesn't seat properly all the time (this was the same on my old lock).  This issue is easily overcome by pushing in the unlock button as the post is pushed into the lock body.  The post then seats properly and you need only to rotate the  combination lock tumbler(s) to finish locking up your equipment. I will be a  little more gentle with the cable where it goes into the post that locks into the lock body.  This area could probably benefit from some heat shrink as a strain relief on the cable and post.
