Review: Received a duplicate item with no logo, no brand. When I tried to return it, I needed to pay the shipping costs. Waste of money. Duplicate local item is sent, and returning it costs more. Review: After delivery I noted that the package was loosely sealed at one end. After opening, I saw that the end of the unit where the box was loosely sealed had some minor damage where the plastic had broken. I found one of the broken plastic pieces, but the others were gone so I couldn't just glue it back together. Luckily, I saw that I wasn't going to use the mounting where it was broken and you could barely notice the break, so I chose not to worry about the broken piece. Next, I noticed that they give you these chrome metal triangular rings to mount it from. Alternately, and thankfully, you can use the mounting holes for the triangles with conventional wall/ceiling anchor fasteners. I was compelled not to use the triangles because the unit is pretty flimsy end-to-end and sits naturally twisted, and presumably would still twist after mounting if mounted using just the triangles. This is the actual sheet metal shroud that surrounds the screen twisting end-to-end, which would be really annoying if still observed after mounting. Using the ceiling fasteners gave it a great rigid mounting and straightened-out the natural twist in the unit. The reason I think it was previously used is that it had hand prints on the back (non-reflective) side. Whoever had it last had small, dirty hands. The dirt wiped-off pretty easily. Lastly, when pulled down, I noticed that the screen seems to want to escape the horizontal pull bar you pull it down with. I believe this is going to need to be reinforced or it will eventually fail. This will take a few pennies worth of good tape along the back side of the screen, after some minor disassembly of the horizontal bar, then reassembly after taping. I don't use it as a projection screen, so I can't speak to any wrinkling or picture quality. I use it as a 'green screen' with Zoom so I can have a 'virtual background' during Zoom meetings. It isn't green (it's white), but I shine a green LED on it and it works great for that, unless I wear a green shirt, in which case I switch the LED to blue and very quickly re-calibrate the Zoom virtual background to use blue. Overall, I like the end result and I am very happy. Most people don't have my patience for the rigid installation, nor would they like the way the horizontal pull bar looks like it will fail, which are probably some of the reasons why the last person returned it. The scrolling up-and-down action seems smooth and reliable with the rigid mounting, but I bet it isn't when using the triangular rings. Or do we have to buy them to install it on a wall ?** A: On the screen itself there are mounting rings and slots which fit over screws that have been installed in the wall. For my application, the slots did not look very confidence inspiring. I opted to purchase separate ceiling mounting brackets which have performed very well. **Q: can this be used in front of a window? Is is elimination of light penetration good enough for that?** A: It wont show light through the screen itself, however I recommend getting a pull down shade or something of the kind to cutdown on the rooms ambient light to make the images on screen pop a little more. **Q: Can I mount this recessed in the ceiling?** A: You could, it has 2 silver rings built in for ceiling mounting, and I suppose you could tie something to the bottom handle if you want it completely recessed. **Q: Does the screen come with all the mounting hardware?Or do we have to buy any additional hardware(brackets n screws) I am interested in 16:9 120inch** A: Everything comes included, but you will need anchors based upon what type of installation. Ie if you have access to a stud on both sides (highly recommended) then any 2.5" screw will work with the proper sized head. I was able to secure one side into a stud and the other side I used a high quality hollow wall fastener that uses behind drywall expansion. I have had zero issues. We do leave ours "down" all the time and I think I have only raised it 3-4 times. If I were raising and lowering it all the time I would have shifted it to the point that both sides were stud mounted. The exact engineering specs are available online, so you can do your homework on placement before the unit arrives and buy the appropriate screws or hollow wall fasteners. The ease of use and the picture quality totally blow away using a bedsheet thumbtacked to the wall. lol. Of course that's obvious, but my point is this... to watch movies once, you need a good white sheet and preferably also a dark one to hang behind it... If you decide that you may enjoy watching movies or TV via your projector on a regular basis, do yourself a favor and get one of these screens. Now that I have it, I want to use my projector more and more often.
