The frame is not very sturdy. We had problems with it. We are now using the futon mattress on a bed in a guest room that is sparingly. **Q: What futon mattress do you pair with this? It it comfortable for everyday use?** A: Hi Grace2u, I paired this frame with the DHP 6 inch mattress (Bought both from the same company just to be safe because I wanted to make sure they would fit). I did some research and a lot of the reviews about the 8 inch mattress said that it was too thick to fold up easily into a couch, so I went with the 6 inch. If you're looking for the squishy tempurpedic mattress, the 6-inch won't match your needs, but if you like a relatively firm mattress, I would highly recommend this futon. In my honest opinion, the it is one of the most comfortable futons I've ever slept on and I would say that you could easily use this everyday! The only issue I had was the smell, but it wears off in a few days.As for the actual frame, I mostly just leave it in the couch position. For me, it is a little difficult to move between couch and futon position because of the stiffness. But otherwise, the frame does it's job! I think it also matters which futon you use it with. I am pretty happy with the combination that I bought! **Q: Is this a twin frame?** A: Read the description. It says full size frame. **Q: What size phiiips screwdriver do I need as I don't have power tools?** A: It would be a number 2 Phillips head screwdriver. I like the lightness of this frame. It is so much easier to move when I am vacuuming. I have a thick, coil futon mattress and it's very comfortable to sleep on it using this frame. It is a little difficult to put it back into the sofa position, but another user put instructions that have worked for me. I am 5'3" and not strong at all.These were the instructions provided by user Samantha Star (thank you, Samantha!)Stand on the side of the futon where the arm rest is. Grab the top of the "backrest" part of the mattress and push it forward like your pushing the mattress into a folded position, then grab the seat part of the frame and pull up toward the "backrest" part of the mattress. If this doesn't pop the frame into couch position, then let go of the mattress and grab the "backrest" part of the frame and pull it toward the "seat" part of the frame so the seat and backrest of the frame are forming a "V", then rock the whole thing forward (toward the seat side) and it should fall into position. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing. I'm very impressed and I love this frame, I was able to assemble it by myself as a single not strong person. Some tips for people struggling with assembly from what I learned:You WILL NEED:-An electric drill. Magnetic bits help.-A clamp, if assembling alone.-Pliers, to hold the nuts still while tightening screwsThe wood screws DO fit in the frame panels but you need to have the frame laid flat on the floor and put all your weight on your drill to drive them in. Don't try it any other way, it's impossible. You will need a clamp to align and hold some pieces together while screwing if you're doing it without help. Another tip, ignore the instructions telling you to add the mattress holder brackets last and do that before you attach the panels to the frame as you'll also need a lot of force to drive in those screws.Definitely the best thing I've ever bought for my apartment, it's high quality, looks nice and is a perfect couch alternative if you have cats while also being able to turn into a guest bed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ About what I expected *by S***M on July 14, 2025* Sister had to order a new frame while the one I ordered is currently being processed for a refund, as delivery driver dropped and damaged the first one.Second frame was delivered and had no damaged parts or missing bolts. Frame is light when assembled, which can make getting the new futon mattress to bend into a couch somewhat of a struggle, hoping this will get easier with time. Frame was simple and easy enough to assemble via instructions, and looks real sleek, albeit a lil low to the ground.
