It's kind of a pain to run the wires for 4 different lights in 4 different locations in your car, to then hook up to ANOTHER wire that goes into the cigarette lighter. I guess they couldn't really get sufficient power by any other means, but it's still a pain.As far as brightness, the red color is barely visible during the daylight. At night it's semi-bright, but if you have them lighting up the floor, its not going to light up the whole car. Whether that's a good thing or not depends on the buyer.Tip: These LEDs are single-directional. If you have them facing the floor, they light the floor.
