Used to clean up a crappy fitting bolt in my rifle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works nice. *by A***M on August 10, 2025* Got this as a finish grinding step for my reel lawn mower (I wanted a sharper, finer edge). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is only a lapping and polishing grit compound *by T***R on March 23, 2023* This Wheeler 600 grit compound is frequently described as the correct product to use when truing a flat surface such as a bicycle bottom bracket or firearm receiver face. It is not. What I found is that 600 grit takes far too long to do an adequate job. This product is a fine polishing compound, suitable only for polishing slightly rough bores or lapping aluminum scope rings. For truing the face of a forged aluminum receiver, I found that ordinary Permatex 80037 four grit (120/220) valve grinding compound is much cheaper and works much faster.
