I just throw half of one dunk in my 30 gallon barrel...works great. A 55-gal drum would be best to use a whole one. Takes at least 24 hrs to start working, usually. **Q: Will these dunks reactivate if the pond dries up and then fills with rain again?** A: I put a quarter of a dunk in my bird bath and it dries up on occasion and seems to work when I refill it. I love these for my little water ponds.
