They are generics and don't have the X pattern mold (the original is the picture) that the originals have but I don't notice a difference, and I play a lot with both to know. The top is soft slightly different but way better than not having anything there. Others have said it for the original analog stick that it made a clicking noise when rotated 360° but mine never made that noise to begin with so I have no idea what they are talking about. I highly recommend this product. FYI though, you'll need to look up instructions on how to install them if you don't already know because it doesn't come with any. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Buyer beware! You’re in for a rather appropriately priced product! *by B***S on November 15, 2020* Generally speaking: this product seemed like a good idea at the time of purchase. I mean, I have 2 GC controllers with both sticks needing some general TLC, and the price seemed like a decent start.Welp. I got what I paid for, I suppose.I only needed the sticks, and for the moment I’d say they fit the bill, though looking at the innards of the caps themselves lack structure like the original caps, which definitely feels a tad bit off, but ultimately they work.Something that definitely needs to be noted is that the screwdriver that is included is definitely a double edged sword. While it was handy to use and allowed me to momentarily not break out my personal controller kit, I ultimately moved away from using it because of the flashing on the handle, which was really rough on the palms. It really feels like they just sorta cut off some it but didn’t want to cut further or sand it because, I don’t know, maybe they already put the branding on and they didn’t want to remove it? Maybe they just didn’t wanna ruin the gloss of the parts that didn’t have really have any flashing? I don’t know, but it did sorta make it less of a plus.I am probably gonna get different stick caps in the future, and I will probably be a little bit more astute about it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ With slight modification, perfectly fine *by A***R on May 16, 2021* Let me start by saying I’m not a hardcore smash player. I’m a casual GameCube player, usually playing one of the Zelda games, rogue squadron, or Metroid prime.The analog on my only 1st party GC controller was shot (see picture). This kit did everything I needed it to do. I can’t speak 100% for authentic feel of the texture of the joystick, but movement sens unhindered and I have that familiar “click” when the analog is hard over and returns to the home position. Provided you do one thing when you receive it....If you read other reviews you will see complaints about how you can see gaps around the analog and how the top of the stick rubs on the body of the controller. This is ALL TRUE, but super easy to correct. Simply place a small ball of cotton or tissue inside the hole in the bottom of the replacement analog. I used a small screwdriver to compare depths and added material until they were equal.
