There are no electric parts in it, so water cannot create shortages. It is rated from -20°C to +70°C. If run in a conduit and it is rarely/occasionally exposed to water, I wouldn't worry at all. However, it is not an outdoor rated cable that can be permanently exposed to direct sun, used under water, or buried in the garden. **Q: Can this be used replace the google multi-gig fiber cable from the wall jack to the router? i'm looking to move the router to another room.** A: As long as you have SFP port it will work or check your female port if this cable will connect correctly **Q: does this work with? as i need it for a Ubiquiti Networks EdgeSwitch 24 250W (ES-24-250W) https://a.co/d/6adtLPL** A: If you want to use this jumper with this device, you will need to use it with a multimode optical module **Q: is it plastic fiber optic? is that I need to install some pipes throughout the house and there are many curves.** A: According to a specification I saw on their website, it says "Owens-Corning" so it would definitely be glass, but the manufacturer also says it is "bend insensitive" and that the "minimum bend radius" is 7.5mm (which is rather a tight bend radius IMHO). "Bend sensitive" would make the minimum bend radius to be about 15X the outside cable diameter (NOT to be confused with the diameter of the very tiny glass fiber inside the multi-layered construction found in this type of fiber optic cable). "Bend insensitive" has much to do with the interior construction layers of the fiber optic cable which then 'reinforces' the glass fiber to prevent damage in places where it is possibly tightly bent around corners or when pulling into conduit or through conduit fixtures.
