They are clean- all fibers are removed. Have used for artichoke/spinach dips, pasta sauces, pizzas salads, veggie burgers, anti pastas- and yes... straight out of the can! They have a true artichoke flavor- which is really nice when you're looking to make artichoke based recipes. They are still quite firm, and so you're able to further cook them without ending up with a soggy overcooked product. Happy to add to reorder list- highly recommend!
