Did it break or is it as advertised , “solid Brass”?** A: I received this as a gift. It was impossible to put a pin in it. Except right next to the “brass” cup it was broken recently and it definitely NOT brass. It’s pot metal. Won’t weld. My husband is a welder. Pretty but sadly false advertised. **Q: I want to give one a gift. Does it come with any kind of instructions? I'm not sure someone who's never seen one before would know what it's for.** A: I don't remember as I got it in the spring and knew how to use it. If the person sews they probably would use it as a pin cushion.
