Tubing,fittings,clamps and seals **Q: Whats the difference between Hayward CL220 Off-Line Automatic , and Hayward CL200 Automatic Pool Chemical** A: The CL220 uses plastic tubing and saddle valves to attach to your pool plumbing. This allows you to drill two small holes into the existing pool plumbing (one hole in a piece of pipe between the pump and the filter and the other in a piece of pipe just after the filter) to install the feeder. It is designed to be easy to install. The CL200 is the same basic unit except that the ports on the bottom are threaded so that you can use threaded fittings to add it to your system. This requires a lot more knowledge about fittings, connectors and plumbing. **Q: Why does the top become hard to twist open?** A: I have never had a problem with mine , but i only tighten it till it clicks . i have never had any leeks either . when I purchased mine I bought extra o rings and the opener tool but haven't had to use them yet . **Q: I can i stall this on a well system to purify water before entering the house?** A: I wouldn’t try to purify the water with chlorine. That does not sound safe for consumption. You should check with a local company that purifies water. Nice to be able to leave home and know my pool wont be green when I get home! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replacement for Previous Unit Destroyed by Winter Freeze *by J***P on July 15, 2020* Purchased this as a replacement for one destroyed by the winter freeze. I believe water got into the unit and was blocked by the ball/coupling on the outflow end. When I started up the pool in the spring the inflow side was leaking, and then basically popped off when I Inspected it. This was the exact replacement part, easy to install, and works great. Side note- keep an eye on the black connector tubing between the pool returns and the unit as it got brittle after a few seasons on us and cracked during replacement.
