It came in a professional container. I almost stripped one of the screws to get into the enclosure, but I was ultimately able to get in and attach the SanDisk 128GB SSD. The disk mounted on my attached laptop quickly and I was able to save the data and be the hero! It took me awhile to find the exact product I needed, but this clearly ended up being it. No diagram or instructions on how to insert SSD. To many that might be self evident. There is only 1 component on the board with a slot configuration that would allow insertion of of the Macbook Air SSD. But once the solid memory card was inserted it was not self evident how the card was to be secured. After several google searches an appropriate You Tube video was displayed showing how the Mac SSD goes into an enclosure - including screws and brass spacer. The major problem is the SSD card taken out of my Macbook Air, although appropriate in slot configuration, did NOT fit the dimensions provided on Meitk's board. The screw cut out missed the SSD slot by about 1-2 mm rendering the enclosure worthless since the SSD card could NOT be secured inside the enclosure. It is unclear to me if this is an anomaly or merely sloppy engineering on the part of Meitk.So I wonder where this product was manufactured? Hmmm - Germany? Switzerland? Or perhaps China where a few millimeters of error is good enough among friends.After wasting about an hour of my time unpacking the enclosure elements, wondering what obvious assembly trick I was missing, sorting through a series of google searches, watching a few YouTube video demos, I realized this dog ain't going to hunt. Now I get to spend another hour registering for a refund or trying to find an amazon return UPS mailing slip.My advice: avoid the hassle.
