## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is thus affiliated with the series horribke histories?**
A: No, completely separate; we Americans weren't aware of the British series when we launched the game. However, fans of the show will very much appreciate the subject matter and grave humor!

**Q: How do you figure out which are true or false? Do you just randomly guess or is there a bit of logic involved?**
A: Stupid Deaths includes both guessing the answers, but also looking for clues in the descriptions based on historical context that can help players’ decisions.

**Q: Any inappropriate cards?**
A: I haven't read all the cards yet, there are a LOT of them.
That said, what's 'inappropriate' to one person might be the best most favorite card in the set to another. Is inappropriate descriptions that are too violently graphic? (there are no pictures.) Is 'inappropriate' content based on racist or sexist ideas and ideals being integral to the "stupidity" of particular deaths? Or implications of sexual infidelity? Does it matter to you if it mentions homosexuality? There are so many things that so many different people consider inappropriate while others don't recognize any problem that I wouldn't be sure what to say regarding 'inappropriate' for anyone else's (delicate?) sensibilities.
I can confirm that since there are dice in the game it is technically a game of chance, which some might consider too close to gambling. There is no built in betting aspect to the game though, so most would not consider it 'inappropriate' based on issues with gambling.

If 'inappropriate' content is a serious concern either read all the cards before letting anyone play it. (That way you can remove any that you judge to be 'inappropriate') or restrict the players to a higher age group than the box suggests.

As a high school teacher who bought the set to use with adult friends at home, I wasn't too worried about 'inappropriate' content. However if I were planning to allow students to play this game I might consider checking all the cards depending on the age group I was allowing to use it. Better to remove any problem cards or to at least know what's in the box BEFORE a student goes home and tells their parent/guardian about something in it that the adult considers 'inappropriate' based on the child's description. (Keep in mind the child's description might be filling in imagined information that the card had left out or not included because it wasn't even accurate. So that parent might be misinformed about what was in the game. If you've already read them all then you know they aren't warranted in their outrage. So you will be better able to defend yourself.)

If your buying it for private use by your own children/grandchildren/nephews/nieces then you could play with them to temper any 'inappropriate' content or use the 'read it all before hand method' described above.

Or buy them something innocuous and classic like "Candy Land" or "Shoots and Ladders."

**Q: Can you buy a set of new cards once these have all been read?**
A: No, but there are 300 cards in the game, and games usually take 6 to 10 cards (depending on the number of players). So that should give you 30 to 50 games before exhausting them all!
