Review: Add reality to your gas log fire. - My gas log fire functioned well but the small line of flames below the front log did not produce the "glowing ember" look that was promised. Once I placed the MEECO'S RED DEVIL 585 Glowing Embers directly above the small flames where the flames could contact the small fibers I got the effect I wanted. The glowing embers are visible even up to 15 feet away and added greatly to the realism of the gas log fire. I am pleased with the product and the quantity supplied is very generous.

Ordered this product, came to discover that almost all the embers were burned up in my insert. There is tons of material here, enough for more than 5 applications. The flames now look neat again with the glowing simulation of real coals. Buy a bag, and look in your insert. Make sure you check the position of the logs so you know how to put them back properly after adding ember.

Works as advertised and looks good in the fire. My brother in law liked it so much that I gave him a bag to do his gas fireplace. You get enough material for several fireplaces so it will last a long time.
