**Q: for 32oz mugs?**
A: I don’t have any 32oz mugs. It looks like the straw is approximately 3 inches above the top of my 24 oz glass. I do know they work awesome  for my 24 oz glasses. Hope this helps.  I love them!

**Q: Can you compress them to be shorter?**
A: These Flexible  Drinking Straws can't be compressed to be shorter, maybe just a little. But they can be bent.

Love the multicolor caps! They are the right size for our purposes, and they are flexible. I am not, however, convinced of their durability. After using one for less than 2 weeks, my husband detected a hole in the vertical seam of his straw. I guess for the price I paid, I got what I ordered.
