Will they be ludicrously expensive compared to the ones you could score at Goodwill? Sure, but they also aren't going to bend them moment you drop them. I have put one of these through a disposal (accidentally, mind) and it was still usable. Chateau is a pattern that Oneida has committed to always carry, so you'll also know you can always get replacements for them and match what you already have. This is useful for parents, since I have had to buy something like 30 spoons and forks over the course of a year, and we still can never find one when we need it. What do the children do with them? Do they trade them for whatever potion allows them to have so much energy? Is there a silverware fairy who comes in at night and absconds with them, leaving dirty mismatched socks behind? The world may never know.
