(Meaning not a standard function calculator)** A: Before retiring, I used calculators, with the paper, for 30 years without looking at the keys & this is the first desktop non paper calculator that I can key in the numbers without looking again. Others didn’t “feel” like the 10 key calculators. It has some useful functions like stringing multiple calculations together (i.e. AxB+C) and facilitating calculation of a long string of numbers that need to be added/subtracted, etc. large, easy to read digits. Large raised keys are easy to press and are far enough apart so it is unlikely I will inadvertently press two at a time. While it does have some photocells, I think you would need a bright area to actually get enough power to operate the calculator. I keep my office lights less bright so they don't interfere with my computer monitor.
