    Fun book, Great photos...but of WHO?

I enjoyed this book. The only thing I had a problem with is there were no photo details.Most books in the back show thumbnail size photos and who the photos are of. This book just has full color page photos...subjects with no head or if they have faces no names. Who are these photos of...who's body parts are these connected to?

I was originally drawn to Terry's work for its lake of shame, but since having read all about his behaviour on set and accusations of sexual predation by some of his models, its hard to view it as anything more than cheap porn masquerading as art with a health dash of exploitation. Really takes the edge off unless you're the kind who digs rape and kiddie porn as kinda cool.

Terry Richardson.Was soll man zu dem Herren bloß sagen? Sein Werk "Terryworld" ist eine auf Papier gedruckte Perversion. Dieses Buch ist eklig, pornografisch, widerlich und irgendwie habe ich nach dem Betrachten das Gefühl, hektoliterweise das auf den Fotografien über alle möglichen Gesichter und Körperteile vergossene Ejakulat an den Händen kleben zu haben. Kurz gesagt: Genial!Fotografen wie der leider kürzlich verstorbene Oliver Rath oder Tyler Shields haben einen ähnlichen, wahrscheinlich von Richardson inspirierten Stil. Beide gehen sehr weit, jedoch bei weitem nicht so weit wie Mr. Richardson. Eine eigenartige, dem white-trailor-trash zuordenbare Performanz ist Mr. Richardsons Bildern inhärent. Ich frage mich, ob ihm im Augenblick der Aufnahmen bewusst war, welch wichtiges Meisterwerk der zeitgenössischen Kunst er schuf. Seine Bilder wirken ein bisschen wie die Arbeiten von Araki, dem man bei seiner Arbeit "Tokyo Lucky Hole" ziemlich einfach und ohne schlechtes Gewissen den dokumentarischen Charakter absprechen kann. Viel mehr hat man das Gefühl, er "lebt" seine Fotografien. Mr. Richardson tut das ebenfalls.Kaufempfehlung!
