Bought to replace an original JBL cable on which the cloth covering had frayed and the rubber covered cable was poking out in loops through holes in the cloth covering. The cable is better than the original in some ways as it does not have any cloth covering to fray and the cable itself seems rugged. It also has a volume control and microphone just like the original. Works perfectly. Headphones sound fine through it when plugged into my computer, too.
