I do have an alarm and I wanted to display that fact but most of the signs I looked at had plastic stakes. Not rocket science here. I didn't think the plastic would last very long since I'm pulling the sign out when I mow the lawn and then pushing it back into the ground. It's on the south side of the house with full sun exposure. I'll let you know if the red color fades or not.
