The cell dimensions match the original ones perfectly. The new cells came fully charged and powered up the HT properly. Be aware that the welded-on tabs are aligned at 180 degrees from each other. I had to fold over some of them because I needed a different angle for my application. I can't speak to battery life yet. Be sure you use a correct NiCad charger with these cells. Review: Only 2 out of 12 worked. If you can use the battery terminals (the exposed part) as they are you do not need the tabs. When I bought these batteries I needed the tabs. I pulled the black insulating cover off to expose the metal tabs. Those tabs are typically used to solder to some piece of equipment. **Q: Ordered for outdoor solar lights, not working. Are these compatible for outside use?** A: I bought these batteries for my outdoor solar lights. I was replacing 400 mah batteries. They worked well for me. I did remove the black sheath and folded the tabs back on themselves so they would make good contact in the light housing. **Q: I am using ni-cd 2/3 aaa 1.2v. this one says 2/3 aa...only aa instead of aaa. are these batteries 2/3 aa or 2/3 aaa ?** A: They are 2/3 aa, and they are also junk. With the tabs it made soldering them together very easy.
