This motivated me to grab some pieces of wood and quickly build a gate. I chose these hinges because I had used a similar version on a larger yard gate before. They are slightly more expensive than other hinges that can support the weight of the gate. However, these hinges have some great qualities—they are sturdy, rust-resistant, have an adjustment feature for installation, and, most importantly, self-close if a family member forgets. Good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by M***B on 2 May 2024* Wonderful design, very sturdy and adds flexibility to difficult installations. Before installation you will need to remove the spring tensioner which is very easy to do and the kit includes the tool to do that. Only thing that I would recommend is replacing the included screws which are designed for plastic gates and would not really work on a wooded gate. I replaced them with a wide 1-1/4 inch stainless steel ones. The one thing which these hinges do is adjust the level of the gate.
