Grind it flat on one side and then round the top away from the side you just ground. When installing be sure to turn the ground side up. These are in a different and superior class of rod holders. The quality is amazing.When I had trouble getting the holders to fit in my new boats track, the owner called me, helped figure out the issue, and sent new holders that fit the new track design.I’ll never buy any Versatrack attachments other than Cannon. This is the first, at least in Many years, that I have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fit versatreak perfect *by B***Y on May 23, 2025* Fit tracker super guide perfectly ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong and sturdy… *by B***R on August 16, 2023* These are very strong and sturdy…they hold up to some heavy trolling in the big water, with big baits.I tiny bit of lube will definitely help with the first few adjustments that you need, as they have tight/firm fits.The only thing I would suggest is, if using in your tracker-versatrac system, either get/find the T-bolts! OR just know, since they use the round head carriage bolts for mounting, the only way in/out when taking them off or putting on, is to slide them all the way to one of the round ports/access holes…not always ideal if you have other attachments that you want to stay in place and/or if you have a Bimini top!
