I haven't used the ultra sleek flat iron mist, but that sounds like it would be more suitable for what u are looking for. Also, I don't care for the shampoo and conditioner in this line. My hair is straight to wavy with color in it. I felt like it didn't give it any life. Look at the dessange line from Paris. U can find it at target.
