It was suggested that he should get one of these lights, but he said he was fine (FINE!). So we sent him one anyways. He likes it, his mood has improved. We thought we might get one, but we thought we were fine... bought one anyways. We use it in the morning when making coffee and having breakfast, it helps take the edge off. Instead of dragging out the door in the morning, I'm much more awake and much less blah. I brought it to work to get 10 minutes of light during the day (in my windowless office), invited my boss to sit in the office with me... but he said, "I'm fine!" He likes it. Just talked to my Mom who is feeling pretty blah, ordered one for her.All that is to say... if you find yourself feeling lethargic, not so perky, or generally blah during the winter... pick up one of these lights. It is well made, it works as advertised, and is totally worth the cost. I'm sure you'd be "fine" without it, but I suspect you'd be feel better with it. I can only assume that this is why this brand seems to be the most effective for me.I'm not fond of the design of the frame that holds the lights and the placement of the cord but it is still worth using over other brands.The older model of this light box, which was a little larger, was much better. Besides the old light being brighter it was heavier.
