Der ganze Rahmen wirkt "wie aus einem Stück Metall". Der Mechanismus zum öffnen und schließen eines Fachs wirkt sehr robust.Schade finde ich es, dass an die einzelnen Fächer nur mit einem Spezial-Schlüssel - welcher natürlich beiliegt - abschließen kann. Schnell hat man den kleinen Schlüssel mal verlegt...Ich habe 5 Stück 4TB Platten von Seagate eingebaut. 3 Stück mit 5400rpm, 2 Stück mit 7200rpm.Die Lautstärke der Platten ist nach wie vor okay und recht leise. Was aber zu nerven beginnt ist der Lüfter.Die Lüftersteuerung steht auf "Auto". Anfangs mit nur 3 Platten lief der Lüfter nie. Die Platten waren bei 38-40°C. Jetzt mit 5 Platten ist die Temperatur der Platten an sich unverändert, aber der Lüfter dreht je nach Plattenzugriff alle 2-3 Sekunden für 1-2sek auf die zweite (deutlich hörbare) Umdrehungsstufe mit ~4500rpm.Das nervt etwas. Hätte mir gewünscht dass ich neben dem Auto-Modus oder dem "HiGH" Modus, noch einen manuellen Modus einstellen kann, oder aber die Grenztemperatur anheben kann. Die Platten selbst bekommen erst bei 60°C Probleme. Also wäre da noch Spielraum. So heult der Lüfter ständig auf...Für alle die den Rahmen mit Linux oder dergleichen einsetzen und erwarten dass man die LED der Platte zur Fehleranzeige oder Identifizierung blinken lassen kann (unter Linux z.B. mit 'ledmon'), den muss ich enttäuschen: Geht nicht. Der Rahmen hat nur einfache SATA Anschlüsse, und damit alleine geht das nicht.Wer den Rahmen im privaten Umfeld einsetzen möchte und ggf. etwas Bastelaufwand bzgl. des Lüfters in Kauf nimmt: Klare Empfehlung. Robust und praktisch.Für den etwas professionelleren Einsatz: Sicher auch ganz okay. Aber da fehlt dann sicher die Ansteuerung der LEDs. Wer das nicht braucht und die Lüftersteuerung nicht nervt: Kaufempfehlung. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Attention, sur le côtés, il n'y a pas de lignes pour mettre dans la tour *by M***L on Reviewed in France on 24 February 2021* J'ai installé le produit avec beaucoup de difficultés. Il n'y a pas de lignes sur le côté donc par défaut il ne rentre pas dans un boîtier standard (on a toujours deux petites accroches de chaque côté pour fixer les CD-Rom... J'ai du enlever ces lignes dans mon boîtier pour le faire rentrer (pinces...)Une fois installé, le boîtier fonctionne sans problème (si on allume un disque dur, il reste allumé après avoir éteint et rallumé l'ordinateur).Je confirme que le ventilateur est un très gros problème. Je l'ai remplacé par un Noctua(80 mm) mais il est plus épais donc la vis de fixation doit être changée. La connexion pour ventilateur n'est pas standard donc il faut utiliser soit un adaptateur soit le brancher sur une alimentation Molex (avec la résistance pour tourner moins vite).La température est de 34 à 37 degrés (selon le disque dur) après deux heures de zfs send |receive (mais avec un adaptateur pour diminuer la vitesse du noctua) ### ⭐⭐⭐ No use for hot 7200 RPM disks *by M***L on Reviewed in Sweden on 18 July 2021* I had really hoped that this enclosure would be able to cool four WD 8TB 7200 RPM disks, but it simply cannot move enough air over the disks to keep the temperatures below 45 centigrade. I even tried fitting a 120mm fan with an adapter instead of the included 80mm fan, but it made no difference at all. Well, it made one difference, it caused the status LEDs to flash orange because of the much lower speed with the larger fan making it think the fan was not turning fast enough. There is no way to change this either.So, instead of this being an "icybox" it was more like a "sweatbox" for my four hard disks, even at idle. I hate to think what temperature they would get up to if I started a long running disk check!The poor cooling seems to be down to the backplane which only has three small slots in it. Plus that there are lots of other gaps for air to take the path of least resistance through the enclosure, so most of the air that the fan is moving goes nowhere near the hard disks.I also noticed when I first tested the enclosure that the first disk was not showing any activity, even though it was being accessed. That turned out to be caused by one of the pins in the SATA connector having been bent flat and no longer connecting to the disk drive's PCB. Luckily, I was able to use a needle to bend the pin upright again so that it went back into the connector. It then made contact properly when I re-inserted the disk.The alignment of the first disk and the connector on the backplane seems to be slightly off and means that you need to wiggle the first disk slightly when inserting it so that it will slide into the backplane's connector properly.
