The 1st tier is 1/4" below the top rim, the 2nd tier is about 2" below the top tier. You can see it better in some of the close-up images. All units of this sink available in the market after December 2019 include the two tiers. **Q: I saw a post stating the 2 tiers no longer exist and now it actually only has one lip/tier?** A: This sink is still a double ledge sink. The rim of the sink, when installed, leaves a 3/4" reveal on the front and back. This forms the upper tier. The second tier is the ledge below it. The cutting board(s) fit on either the upper or lower tier. The colanders fit on the lower tier. The rollup rack fits on the upper tier. **Q: Is the cutting board flush with the countertop when used on the top tier?
