It has a HUGE cannister and performs just as well in a non-vacuum state. I've made peanut butter in under 2 minutes - smooth as can be. Makes wonderful smoothies, while preserving freshness by keeping air out. I'm really impressed with the function and price of this blender. I even ordered an extra cannister and vacuum lid from NuWave directly. Don't hesitate, BUY IT!

This vacuum blender is AMAZING. MY Blendtec died after 12 years, so I needed to replace it. WARNING - I received the item on sale. When it arrived it wouldn't blend. The motor would turn on, but the buttons wouldn't work. I would have returned it and gotten another one, but no more were available at my sale price. I decided to reach out to NuWave and get it fixed by warranty. I emailed, but no one got back to me for over a week, so I decided to use their chat option. The first person said, no problem we will send you out a new one. The motor must be bad. This is a usual issue. They said a couple of days. After a week, I checked in again with the chat. The second person said, oh it was put on hold for some reason, sending it out now. In the third week and third person, they said they canceled the order due to fraud and that I would have to buy it again. Buy it again?! What about my money for the first one? No help, no organization and I already paid for a broken blender they won't help with! Not my idea of how I wanted to start so I returned it and will never buy anything from NuWave again. A month of aggravation. If you are really going to buy this know if it breaks your out of luck and its a good chance it will come broken. I do not recommend it.
