He previously went to preschool full time for 2 years and had a positive experience. His kindergarten teacher was very patient, understanding, and lovely, so it was shocking how many meltdowns he was having daily for the first few months of school. I bought this about 2 months into the school year upon the recommendation of his teacher, and it helped. He wore it all day and it made him seem more grounded and less out-of-control. We also asked him to wear it when we went out to big, busy places like the mall, McDonalds play areas, and children's museums with the same outcomes. He also had other supports and small accommodations (sensory twice daily, mealtime accomodations, seating accommodations, etc), so that definitely also played a part in his increasing tolerance of school. He's in 1st grade now and doesn't need it anymore. I paid about $66 total, which seemed annoyingly expensive, but in the end I think it's worth the price. I'd recommend it for any kid who would benefit from some proprioceptive feedback.
